A Guide to Disney World Height Requirements: What Your Little Adventurers Can Ride

One of the best things about Walt Disney World is that most of its 50+ attractions have no height restrictions, meaning even the youngest guests can enjoy the magic.

However, some rides do have minimum height requirements, and knowing them ahead of time can help you avoid any disappointment—whether from kids or thrill-seeking adults!

How Height Requirements Work at Disney World

• If a ride has a height restriction, Cast Members will measure children at the entrance to ensure they meet the requirement.

• In some cases, they may be measured again further in the queue.

• It’s rare, but height measurements can sometimes vary slightly from day to day. If your child is just at the height limit (within half an inch), don’t assume they’ll be able to ride every time.

Now, let’s break down which attractions have height restrictions, park by park.

Final Tips for Families

• If your child is close to a height requirement, it’s a good idea to measure them at home before your trip.

• Wear sturdy shoes—thin sandals can sometimes make the difference between meeting or missing a height cutoff.

• If your child isn’t tall enough (or doesn’t want to ride), use Rider Switch, which allows one adult to wait with them while the rest of the party rides, then switch without waiting in line again.
