One of the most common questions Disney World visitors have is: How do I get from my resort to the parks? Thankfully, Disney offers several complimentary transportation options to make your trip easier.
Understanding these ahead of time can help you avoid stress and plan your days more efficiently.

Complimentary Disney World Transportation Options
If you’re staying at a Disney World resort, you have access to four main modes of transportation:
• Buses – Available at every resort and travel to all four parks.
• Monorail – Serves select resorts and connects Magic Kingdom and Epcot.
• Boats/Ferries – A scenic option for select resorts and parks.
• Skyliner Gondolas – A fun, high-flying way to get to Epcot and Hollywood Studios from certain resorts.
Park-Specific Transportation
Here’s a quick breakdown of how to get to each park from different resort areas:
Magic Kingdom
• Monorail: Available from the Contemporary, Polynesian, Grand Floridian, and Epcot.
• Boat: Runs from Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness.
• Bus: Operates from all other Disney resorts.
• Walking: If you’re staying at a monorail resort, you can walk to Magic Kingdom from the Contemporary.
Epcot
• Monorail: Connects to the Contemporary, Polynesian, Grand Floridian, and Magic Kingdom.
• Boat: Available from Yacht & Beach Club, BoardWalk, Swan & Dolphin, and Hollywood Studios.
• Skyliner: Travels from Riviera, Caribbean Beach, Pop Century, and Art of Animation.
• Bus: Runs from all other resorts and Animal Kingdom.
• Walking: Guests at the boating resorts can also walk to Epcot, as can guests coming from Hollywood Studios.
Hollywood Studios
• Boat: Available from Yacht & Beach Club, BoardWalk, Swan & Dolphin, and Epcot.
• Skyliner: Travels from Riviera, Caribbean Beach, Pop Century, and Art of Animation.
• Bus: Runs from all other resorts and parks.
• Walking: You can walk from Epcot or the boating resorts.
Animal Kingdom
• Bus: The only complimentary transportation option from all resorts and parks.
Tips for Using Disney Transportation
• Buses typically run every 20 minutes, but during peak times, they may take longer.
• The Skyliner is a great option, but keep in mind it doesn’t operate in severe weather.
• Boats and monorails are more relaxed ways to travel, offering great views along the way.
• If time is a priority, walking from Epcot to Hollywood Studios or from the Contemporary to Magic Kingdom can be faster than other options.
